Cooking With Kids: Baby Food Blender

In fact, if you don’t have a baby but feel the need for something in your life that is small, adorable, and noisy but not especially useful, this could be just the ticket—and it’s much cheaper than an actual baby.

Like you, I am torn on this bad boy. Having just got through the “baby food” stage with our son, I wish we had never gone down the road of pureed food.

I agree with you - you don’t need to feed you baby jar food. There is no problem mushing up a healthy dinner. When looking at all the literature on baby food, what you can and cant give your kid and so forth.. it was rediculous. Seems like the list is compiled by baby food companies to scare you into buying their little jars of junk.

I would do things so differently now!

The price seems crazy though.. I picked up a small food processor for about 20 bucks, and it did the job great. In fact, I use it for a bunch of chopping tasks, when I am not too concerned about whether something is diced or chopped.

Aha, but this thing also steams. That’s worth $120, right?

This post kind of sounds like a bad joke about a baby penguin in a blender…

Heehee, cute. So baby can be a gourmet chef and push the on button again, and again, and again. I swear, the blogging world really is great birth control. I’ve been reading blogs like Evil Chef Mom, or Yummy Mummy Cooks Gourmet, and while hysterical, well… yeah… gonna wait on that adventure.
