I'd bravely eaten 5 am sushi the previous day, but just couldn't bear the thought of more raw fish before sunrise.</p> <p>The Yoshinoyas that are left in California are pretty uniformly awful, which is sad. And I also love the view from the Uji Bridge. Did you try the Uji Kinton - shaved ice with flavored syrup, boiled sweet red beans, and green tea ice cream? It may have been too early in the season for it to be available when you went.
