my kickass friend brooke brought me the awesomest hostess gift yesterday... the most hilarious pockys i've ever seen! they're in a flip-top box, a la cigarettes (i'm not sure if regular-type pockys have flip tops...do they? hm)... the box is kind of a mallard teal color, and the words "Pocky Men's" are superimposed on a picture of a pocky that is...steaming? smoking? the only other english words are "bitter chocolate."

apparently, mens like them some bitter chocolate. best pocky ever! (entertainingly, as they contain milk, my husband--an actual man--cannot eat them.)

i've never had the calpico ones, but there were some in the Sather's 99cent bags. it was like dried meringue/marshmallow stuff. i was completely addicted to those & circus peanuts as a kid. i hated the way they tasted but i was so intrigued by the non-foodness of them.
