Having an episode

Posted by mamster on Wednesday, March 14, 2007

A new vegetarian Thai place opened near me, and I’m looking forward to trying it—especially after getting their menu in the mail.

The menu sections have titles like:

  • Curry Episode
  • Stir Fried Episode
  • Salad Episode

But the best is the side dishes: ACCOMPANY BUDDIES ESPISODE. Sic.

The place is In the Bowl Vegetarian Noodle Bistro, open every day at 1554 E Olive Way. Let me know if you stop in and have an episode.

On my fridge is the English-language menu of the Cazuelas Grill in Teuchitlan, Jalisco, which boasts of an “Infantile Play Area” and asks that we “Teste Our Traditional Casserole.”

It’s got lots of options if you’re a vegan craving “meat,” but be wary of the meat substitutes. Go for the “duck/chicken” spring rolls.

If their food doesn’t agree with you, you are going to have Repeat Episode.
