Where, exactly, is Maury Rubin's City Bakery, please? I forgot to tell you that Grandpa and I had lunch at Artie's last Saturday. As usual, we shared an appetizer of chopped liver, and then shared a pastrami sandwich. He complained that his pastrami was somewhat dry, whereas I found mine to be perfect..just the way I like it. De gustibus, etc. Luvya

Buy Iris a little patty pan set and I'll bet she makes quick work of that extra tart dough. I'm betting Laurie remembers Nan's little oven and patty pans from Jo's Boys...

Frozen brussels sprouts are, seriously, a staple of our diet. We have them at least once a week. They're one of the very best frozen vegetables, better than fresh for most of the year, and hugely easier to prep. No one has sent me a free case of brussels sprouts for saying this, but that would be cool.

I've never thought of buying frozen brussels sprouts. Some things are so blatantly obvious they never occur to me. Are they pretty good?

The tart crust info is invaluable.
