St Peters has just never lived up to the promise of the bottle for me. Their spiced ale is the most interesting I've tried. I feel compelled to save the bottles, however. Acme is a brand of North Coast Brewing company, the ones who do the fabulous Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. The two are at opposite ends of the spectrum, but are both very good indeed. Old Rasputin is a touch syrupy and sweet; Old No. 38 is a very dry stout indeed.</p> Oh yeah, good stuff, and what a great bottle.
